The ending with Cher apparently came true...

amazes me how these so-called acitivists thinks its okay to murder in cold blood. Isn't their moto "stop the "slayings" "? oxymorons.

WICHITA, Kan. (June 2) - An activist abortion opponent was charged Tuesday with first-degree murder in the death of late-term abortion provider Dr. George Tiller, asking the judge by video when he would see his court-appointed lawyer.
Scott Roeder, 51, was shown via a video link from the Sedgwick County Jail. He fiddled with the charging documents on a podium in front of him, and said "OK," when Judge Ben Burgess read the charges.

Suspect Scott Roeder, seen in the back of a police cruiser on Sunday, suffers from mental illness, according to his brother.

Burgess ordered Roeder to be held without bond and said he was not allowed to communicate with Tiller's family. The judge told Roeder that he would be assigned a public defender.

"And I'll obviously be hearing from one of those lawyers between now — or do you know how long it will be before I hear from one of those lawyers?" Roeder said.

Within two days, the judge answered to Roeder's only question in the brief appearance. A preliminary hearing is set for June 16.

Roeder also was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly threatening two people who tried to stop him.

Roeder was arrested about three hours after the shooting near Gardner, about 170 miles northeast of Wichita. His last known address is in Kansas City, Mo.
Roeder's family life began unraveling more than a decade ago when he got involved with anti-government groups, and then became "very religious in an Old Testament, eye-for-an-eye way," his former wife, Lindsey Roeder, told The Associated Press.

"The anti-tax stuff came first, and then it grew and grew. He became very anti-abortion," said Lindsey Roeder, who was married to Scott Roeder for 10 years but "strongly disagrees with his beliefs.

"That's all he cared about is anti-abortion," she said.

Controversial Life, Shocking DeathLarry Smith, AP7 photos A prominent pro-choice doctor who performed late-term abortions was shot and killed while attending church in Wichita, Kan., Sunday. Dr. George Tiller, here in 2002, was serving as an usher at Reformation Lutheran Church when the gunman attacked.

Someone using the name Scott Roeder posted comments about Tiller on anti-abortion Web sites, including one that referred to the doctor as the "concentration camp Mengele of our day" — a reference to the Nazi doctor who performed ghastly medical experiments on Jews and others at Auschwitz. The posting said Tiller "needs to be stopped before he and those who protect him bring judgment upon our nation."
Tiller's death has focused attention on the availability of third-trimester abortions, as the few remaining providers age with little interest from new doctors to offer such services.
Tiller's family says there were no plans yet to reopen his Wichita clinic, despite earlier comments from Dr. LeRoy Carhart, one of four physicians who worked at the clinic.

One baby killer gets killed and theirs outrage while millions of babies our killed a year and you call it a choice. Your no different from the pro-slavery movement. Whenever a slave rebelled you would have blamed the slaves.

Hmm wonder why doctors don't want to do that. Maybe it has something to do with their Hippocratic oath. It might have something to do with the fact that they became doctors to help people not murder babies. Third-trimester babies feel pain, can live out of the womb, and our aware. I don't think many doctors want to chop a baby up in the womb and pull the baby out piece by piece. Tiller on the other hand was a sadist who loved killing babies and enjoyed being paid well with the blood money.

Oh geez

Amills23 you seem to be filled with hate.

Abortion should be written off the legal books because it is a medical issue. I also find it odd that some people like to refer abortion doctors being paid with blood money...All doctors who preform surgery, get paid. Heart surgeons, brain surgeons, even OB/GYN. There is more blood with childbirth than abortion.

Shocking I'm filled with hate for the murder of babies. One of the only things that makes my blood boil. The same way I hate pedophilia. Its called blood money not because of the appearance of blood but because of the death of the child.
