Rate it low, medium or high?


This movie was ticking along just fine for me as a formulaic rom-com worth almost sevenish out of ten.

But then there was the stupid Lucy soliloquy / exhibition scene on her red couch at about the 80th minute. Where she figures out who she loves.

To me, that was really bad moviemaking. As the vapid soliloquy went on and on, I felt my appreciation for the film drop a full two points.

Since ScarJo's Emily character was right there in the same scene, a better filmmaker could have accomplished the same revelation as an interaction between characters instead of a stupid soliloquy.

My UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL don't work. Ain't no evidence it helps me control the universe AT ALL!
