Which song sounds darker?

Which song sounds darker savages from Pocahontas or Hellfire? I would say Hellfire when you listen to the lyrics. I think both songs were a little too intense for a kids movie.

I would have to really listen to savages again from Pocahontas, but for sure I would say Hellfire would be darker, since I believe this song is one of the few (if not) the only Disney song that starts with a word that can be a swear word. And you know how clean on language and I mean bad language that Disney would be with their movies.

At first, I thought "Hellfire" since Frollo is calling for Esmeralda to burn in hell (or is it, death by burning) if she further refuses his sexual desires. However, I think "Savages" may be more darker since both sides are calling for a race war, which if it succeeded, would lead more several causalities. "Hellfire" was calling for the death of one woman under certain circumstances.

What we do in life, echoes in eternity.

Hellfire. It's religious tone and it involving damnation makes it creepy as hell (no pun intended).

Metallica + Iron Maiden + Black Sabbath + Judas Priest + Pantera + My Little Pony = LIFE

Theme wise, Savages has the advantage as its about racial tension and impending war. However, Hellfire still raises goosebumps with its intense soundtrack...

Hellfire, indeed.

I remember starting a thread a while ago about the controversy of the lyrics to those songs around here. And frankly, while the lyrics in Savages are more straight-forward and explicit, there's no doubt that the content in Hellfire is more disturbing.

How does Hellfire start with a swear word? The first word is either Confiteor (if one starts with the priests and monks chanting evening Mass) or Beata (if one starts at Frollo's first word). Confiteor is Latin for I confess, and Beata is Latin for Blessed.
