Something just doesn't add up here!

According to this website Kyle Howard, who plays Grover in this movie, was born in 1978. And judging by the more recent picture of him on this website taken in 2001 I would agree that I was looking at a picture of a person in their twenties, maybe 23 (but I would say more). But hang on! Hold the phone! This movie was made in 1996 right...? Are you telling me that he was 18 years old in this movie??? No way! I would say 14 at the very most! What kinda Twilight Zone is going on here?? Also, judging by the hilarious dancing during the end credits I would say that the perpetrator was no way 18.

The world is obviously coming to an end and I must be some kind of old geezer!

1996 is the year the movie was released, not neccesarily when it was filmed. Some people look like teenagers for years after they grow out of it. And, since when does your dancing have anything to do with your age?

And there was one world with nothing but shrimp. I tired of it rather quickly. -Illyria

Oh he was dancing like a twatty little gobsh!te and you all know it! If he was eighteen he would have been more dignified. As you all would be if you knew you were being filmed.

Oh Doctor, will I still be able to criticise?

Kyle was 17 when that movie was filmed. He turned 18 a few months before the movie opened in theaters. I went to middle school with him. He looked really young then. He was very short. (I was several inches taller than him when we had a scene together in our 8th grade musical. He hit a growth spurt in high school, whereas I got up to 5'3" and have stayed that height!)

Anyway, Kyle really was born in 1978. He really was 17 in the movie. He's one that's blessed to look very young for a very long time!!!!!

Like the Karate Kid. Yeah, I must admit it, all of you are right, but it kinda makes me sad that he was that old in the movie, it kinda takes the innocence away. I don't know why.

what are you talking about? that makes no sense. he can't act goofy in a MOVIE because he's 17? you must be joking.

yes, yes. you are. if you aren't then i'm afraid we're quikly approaching the end of the world because there's just no hope!

I suppose he was acting goofy because it was the end credits and the filming was finally over. He was happy because he could finally get on with his homework. Oh wait, he was an adult. It can't be explained.

Haha, I totally agree, what a little mopheaded geek! He really is a skinny ugly little wussy as TJ described him, eh?!?!?!

reply

I totally disagree. I thought he was cute, and had really nice hair. Just sayin'.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is not even a full year younger than him. She is about ten months younger.

Actors/Actresses sometimes have the amazing ability to look younger. It's a curse and gift at the same time.

I look 12 and I'm almost 17.
But I make good $$ in the entertainment field.
It happens.

i'm 45 and women think i'm 30-35.lucky - 45 year olds don't look good.

It came out in 1996 but if you check the credits it says 1995. Therefore, it was made in either 1994 or 95 at the latest and then held on the shelf for a year. Personally, who gives a rat's ass about this awful film?
