I couldn't agree with you more. The first was pretty good, but the second one just blows away the first, and I'm not kidding! Better location, more exciting and more animal characters, Chance at love, Pete & Ashkin, the human actors. All terrific.

Homeward Bound - 7/10
Homeward Bound II: Lost In San Francisco - 9/10

Better location?!
We went from the mountains where they encounter bears and mountain lions
to a typical boring grey city that we see in every movie.
What are you talking about?

I haven't seen the first one but i kinda loved this one. Some moments i felt a bit too childish but however, many moments moved me, i got some tears :) Voices, lines and animals matched very well. Chance was only character which made me feel not so real time to time. The itchy dog was funniest, but i liked most Sassy, cute cute every way.

I always loved this movie more. The big city is more interesting than the wilderness.

It's certainly much better than the first remake because of the urban scenes, though not quite as good as the 1963 original film, "The Incredible Journey."

"The Incredible Journey": 8/10 (strong 8)
"Homeward Bound 2: Lost in San Francisco": 8/10 (weak 8)
"Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey": 6/10

I love this movie.

I don't know I mean the first film had more heart but the second one was a little more entertaining and it had some real villains such as Ashcan and Pete and the two dog nappers. Also the romance between Chance and Delilah.

I think I love them about equally. They're both absolutely amazing, as is the original Incredible Journey. Why can't they make a truly great animal movie in the classic style anymore?!
