I found it wierd that Duc de L'Isle was killed by Angelique. He was the teacher so he knew what would happen if he "stood in hells way", yet he made that mistake on the same evening of Angeliques summoning.
Or perhaps thats the question: Exactly why was he killed? Did he really stand in hells way or was it something that Jacques and Angelique cooked up together to get rid of this "Duc de L'Isle"... I've never understood that part.

The original script was vastly different, none of the stuff when Lemarcahdn goes back to the house was in it. Instead he's invited to a masked ball by Angelique (images found in the library at cenobitedotcom) where he is seduced by her. In a side room De L'Isle confronts Lemarchand, angry that he is being replaced. He tries to kill Lemarchand with a knife but Angelique steps in, Hell needs him. She mutilates him and throws him from a window (briefly seen in teaser trailer).
Later in the story then we see him, dying, crawl back and banish Angelique as she is torturing Lemarchand and they are all sent to Hell before he dies. Then in an epilogue to the Past Story, Jacques re-summons Angelique to be his sex slave and she's devestated that all her plans have come to nothing.

yeah would of been cool to see that in the film
but why did those producers or who ever mess up the film, man the deleted scenes that you can see on utube and other places are cool and would of been great on the film and explain more of the past, present, and future in the film

Why on Earth would they have left this out??? It would take what, 5 minutes to show, and it did explain what the hell happened to the old man. I was wondering too where he went. There was plenty that could have been cut from this movie if time was some sort of issue, but that scene wouldn't have been one of my picks.
