I couldn't even finish this because it was so bad. This is not Spinal Tap. Spinal Tap was brilliant, this was excrement.

Well, it's got different intentions than Spinal Tap. Spinal Tap was a comedy (personally, I don't think it was that much of a riot, but still good), whereas Hard Core Logo is more of a drama and a sometimes funny but mostly tragic look at the punk rock scene. Spinal Tap, while sometimes pretty accurate in its observations, didn't really try to capture the feeling of a scene.

i personally veiw hard core logo to be more of a dark comedy.

The only thing this film had in common with spinal tap is that they are bolth mockumentaries about rock bands PERIOD!
I don't know who spawned this to all often used compairison, it's like compairing Blazing sadles to Unforgiven.
and to Shadows fall7, my condolences on your being from Deadmonton.

definately the most hilarious thing ive heard all day, funnier than spinal tap - hehehehehehe.

there were very few funny moments in this film. spinal tap on the other hand has too many funny moments and more are revealed each and every time the film is seen.

even Green Day are better than this lot, and that's saying something!

reply

That's ridiculous. Hugh Dillon himself has more talent in his thumbnail than all of Green Day do. The Headstones are a critically acclaimed band. You clearly don't know anything about the Canadian music scene.

reply

nor does the rest of the world by the looks of it.

I'm glad you liked it so much. Wish I liked it at all. I found this film excruciating to get through, though I liked the music. It's a 3/10 at best, compared with 10/10 for "This Is Spinal Tap," and only because these votes don't go up to 11.
