? for those who saw this in the cinema back in the day


Was it shown with an intermission? It's 4 hours long.

It's being shown in my area on Labor Day weekend in its complete form. I'm posting it to a film group and they will ask me whether it will have an intermission. The venue didn't know yet, but if it had one originally I'd like to know.

I never saw this in cinema, but someone who did told me it had an intermission.

Which is why Shakespeare’s plays are always edited by their directors. Their scripts are all too long for an update theatrical presentation. Their scripts, of which I have read all, are magical literature—but impossible theater.
