SOUND

Unfortunately, the sound is so bad in this movie I couldn't hear most of it...so I had to stop watching it after an hour, I just couldn't take it anymore.

Marvin, I a watching this right now, and I had been doing some cleaning earlier which involved moving my speakers. I had noted that I had jarred loose my chords into my speakers, as I had no sound (and indeed the speakers are old and I need new ones, but I digress). With some "jiggling", I got the sound to work, but it was awefully muddled. Anyways, I popped in a "Hollywood" movie and everything was fine, so I realized that it wasnt my setup. I have rented much lower budget films that dont have this problem. I am wondering if the problem arose during "printing" of the DVD's. Mine is on rental from Blockbuster Online. Its too bad cuz the story seems good.

My copy from netflix.com sounds fine. I'm using a cheap surround sound system

I have a fairly good sound system, the film came from Netflix and the sound was horrible.

I liked the film, but the sound WAS horrible...I had to strain to hear certain bits of dialogue. The quality of the acting did surprise me, however...I was expecting it to be wooden, but all of the actors really did a very good job.

No, no..."cruelty." I always think that has a nobler ring to it.

I thought this movie was very good. It's a shame the sound quality wasn't all that good. With current technology, I wonder if that issue could be resolved, although, I'm sure the cost would be prohibitive.

I watched it with the Netflix instant play feature. I could only understand about 80% of the dialogue. Some of it was drowned out by the score, and some of it was distorted and cracked from being too loud. Too bad, really, because everything else points to a very decent film.

This is unfortunately a common characteristic of low-budget gay movies: poor production values. I appreciate the effort people did to create this and I think some of the criticisms here are a bit harsh. However, the best direction and acting in the world don't count if you can't hear the dialogue. My partner is hearing impaired; we turned the volume way up and he still couldn't follow the story.

It was a good project, but it fell a bit short. Hopefully all the people involved continued to refine their craft and went on to create pictures worthy of their efforts.

7 yrs later since the last post and I agree about the sound; which is why I came here. I was hoping there'd be a mention of a new release with closed captioning. How did the filmmakers not notice this during production?
