What happens at the end??

Yeah, Justine dies.. on the streets of Grand Avenue. Remember she's shot down by a drive by on her was back from I think the store or something. Sob story material.. and I was just starting to like her.. lol

Myluv, what happens at the end is that Justine DOES die. It went like this, after dropping off her sick cousin and talking to her Auntie Anna, she is walking home and she unfortunately gets caught in the crossfire between two gangs and she dies...i cried very very hard at that part and at the part where her sister says "I want my sister" but thats what happens

There really should be a spoiler alert on this thread. Justine's death was one of the most powerful scenes I've ever seen in a movie. I think it was the heart of the movie. I spent so much of this film wanting to slap her, but just as she's learning to truly see what she means to her cousin, and what her life can be with friends and family around her for the first time in her short life, she's shot in a random drive by. It was a slap in the face to anyone that thinks that "kids like this deserve it."

I need some help here, too, please. While I DO remember that Justine dies, I cannot for the life of me come up with who it is that shoots her. Are the drive-byers black kids from the gang she got into trouble with? Are they white? Latino? If somebody knows: please help me out here!
