Was the maid Little Eva? I dont remember her singing anything...

She wasnt in the Luminaries was she? I thought it would have been cute to reenact the Little Eva/Locomotion story.

She wasn't their maid, she was the younger sister of one of the Luminaries and she occasionally babysat Luma.
I think there was enough going on already without throwing a Little Eva-esque storyline in to the mix. It would just be a distraction which does nothing to serve the plot.
