I'm annoyed that I can't get a legit dvd of this great comedy for a friend who I showed it to years ago. Sure you can find bootlegs at anime-related conventions grey-market dealers tables, but I want a legit dvd and one no longer seems to exist for whatever stupid reason. I remember some of Stephen's films getting dvd re-releases a couple years back, but sadly this title wasn't one of them. Anyone know what the future dvd status of this film is?
sharesure it does ... just search of "god of cookery" or "god of cookery dvd" or "god of cookery hk dvd" or "stephen chow dvd" ... use google, i'm positive you'll find at least 2-3 online retailers that have it available.
shareCurrently there is only one legit version of this on DVD. I wish they would re release an anamorphic version. Otherwise, this is your only choice besides getting a bootleg.

Apparently, the Weistein Company now owns the exclusive rights to distribute this movie on DVD in the States. So, hopefully that means it will be on a good "Dragon Dynasty" DVD sometime soon
