Angst for the memories?

Hi. I need help on this.
English is not my language, so can anyone explain to me what does the phrase "Angst for the memories" means?!

I've seen it in other places besides this movie.....
Thanks

"Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath! Now for ruin! And a red dawn! FORTH EORLINGAS!"

It's really just a play on words. There's a phrase "Thanks for the memories," but he is trying to express that as of that moment he doesn't really enjoy what she's done to him or how things have played out, but the memories are there and that's it. He'll take them, but he doesn't have to like them.

Back in 1998 my college roommate and I watched this movie and we agreed that the saying meant something like "I wish none of this (the relationship) never happened."

Or, more generally, "these memories cause me a great deal of pain" (angst=emotional suffering)

You--lighten up. You--big trouble. You--get in the car.

just think of it in a sense that he loved the girl and he's gonna have good and bad memories of her, as well her of him. he's gonna struggle with the memories for quite sometime, but non the less they are memories. the way they kinda smile at each other after he writes that, they're both letting each other know that everything's gonna be ok
