I must have seen this film about ten times. I just love the grittiness of it. I taped it off of IFC, so that's how I've been watching it.

I think I remember this movie, I only found it because i remembered that U.N.I.T.Y. was playing at the end of it.

was Patti the one who started screaming at some guy and threw a cereal box at him?

Homer: [after hitting a deer statue] D'oh!
Lisa: A deer!
Marge: A female deer!

I love this film, too. Had it on VHS and lost all my videos. I also had the soundtrack which is awesome. Lost that too. Was super psyched that it was added to Netflix streaming. Was discontinued for a while but I just noticed it's back up so I guess they renewed the streaming rights.

It was actually shot in my old neighborhood in Astoria, Queens.

I totally loved this movie. A definite 10.

These are my type of girls. Women, without the usual "girly" stuff. These women are strong, they dress how they want and they take care of business.

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

I hear ya Devans! They're not "victicrats" at all either!

I love it when they confront the rapist near the end too. That is what I call an fine exertion of womanhood!:-)

My Tivo cut off the last bit of the movie! The girls were sitting on top of the dogout talking and I assume that is where it ended. Am I right? Did it just end like that?

You're right; you didn't miss much. Just a bit of dialogue (a couple of minutes worth, at most) playing over the closing credits.

bscrawla, my favorite Lili Taylor roles are Rose in Dogfight and Lisa Kimmel Fisher in Six Feet Under. I would love to be buddies with both of those women.

The Dogfight movie role was what really turned me on to Ms. Taylor. I've been a big fan of hers ever since. The guys in the movie, such as River Phoenix, were supposed to be the stars, but I feel like Lili walked away with it through her performance.
