Ugghhh...

When I watch movies, like this, and Do the Right Thing, all I see is a bunch of holier than though people, who are too self absorbed to realize the world doesn't revolve around them. I tend to end up hating the people in his films. I also dislike that he portrays everyone, black and white, as being racist. In reality most people are not racist, but in his world everyone is.

I am not a Spike Lee fan nor do I hate him. I do however love Girl 6 and I can relate to Teresa Randle's character being that I'm black as well. But you cannot compare this to Do the Right thing.

I also was not old enough to watch this movie when it came out I was only four, so a couple years ago I was just watching HBO late at night and they showed this. So I could care less about what the critics thought and what people thought about it then. I enjoy it.

The only racist thing I could maybe see is that most of the men who attacked her or put her in danger where non black. Like Bob Regular, The Italian serial killer guy, and the Indian Shopkeeper.

But that's how men in general regardless of race are in a business like this. Really it shows you how struggling actors turn to pornography and things of that sort to pay their bills and it's sad.

But it's still a good movie to check out.
