Douglas doesn't look part

Ok, a minor point. But every time I see this movie pass by on TV it bugs me. Michael Douglas does not look like a rough hunter living in the bush.

He looks like a model in a Vogue magazine layout for men's travel or outdoor clothes. Pressed clothes, neat braids on his leather vest. Hair is clean and perfectly coiffed (see Sean Bean in Game of Thrones for how to do it). Well, and his acting wasn't convincing either (probably cause of the way he was dressed).
