yeah it was all right enough i guess....i think the word i'd use is meh....i kinda liked it as it was going along for the most part but it just never builds to anything at the end.--Bonnie Hunt really was kinda good looking and a nice light comedic actres too--why the hell wasn't she in more movies? she could have been huuuge--anyways i can't really work up the energy to post a vigorous defense of it---mostly because its again meh... ackroyd tries hard here.... but the movie just doesn't build to anything really which again is dissapointing since i kept thinking it would...one more thing i can think of is that the sex scene between Ackroyd and Tomlin (yes they get it on at one point, kudos to the filmmakers for giving ackroyd not one but two sex partners in the film--both of whom we actually see him getting it on with---yikes---hunt looks fine but maybe because of the plot? they do everything to make tomlin look and sound hideous here...yikes man... she might not be the best looking woman in the first place but she's usually very very good at what she does which of course makes her look great, to see her in nashville is to love her in nashville, but here she's just either too damp or her character is too glum,) anyways that sex scene they did together looked reeeeaaaallly uncomfortable for the two of them to uh perform.
all that said go see it its an icredible piece of cinematic...no really its just another mediocre dan ackroyd movie.....the kind i usually like a lot more.

Bonnie Hunt has always worked steady... she's been in lots of stuff... :)

Beethoven, Jumanji, Cheaper by the Dozen, The Green Mile, Only You, Return to Me, Random Hearts, Jerry McQuire ...and other movies.

She's also starred in 3 of her own sit-coms... and worked behind the camera too...as writer, director and producer. She was also part of the cast in a 4th sitcom too.

Bonnie Hunt is one of the hardest-working actresses/writers/directors/etc. today, and she's delightful here in her all-too-small role.

I think this film was a lot of fun, but the momentum died a bit once Jack Lemmon's character exited the scene. 7/10 stars from me.
