The best Jim Carrey movie that never starred Jim Carrey

How Jim Carrey-esque is Jeffrey Combs' character in this movie?
Seriously, I get the sense that Combs was specifically trying to channel Carrey's mannerisms with such precision. That was DEFINITELY a role that Carrey could have taken on, but because it's not the lead he never would have done it. But it's REALLY hard to not see Jim Carrey's influence in that performance. He's not quite Ace Ventura, but more of an unrealized role Jim Carrey could have gone on to play.

Had never thought about it... but now that you mention it I can certainly picture it, but maybe he was too young for that role back in 96... Jeffrey Combs did a great job.

Would muuuuucchhhhhhhh rather have Jeff do this part... Great job!

That is funny because i just watched this movie for the first time last night and when the character was first introduced i almost thought it was Jim Carrey under make up. lol

As soon as he came on screen, I immediately thought that would've been the perfect role for Jim Carrey! Just the way the character was portrayed, hiding behind the wall and all of the other absurdness screamed Carrey haha. Brilliant job on Jeffrey Combs' part.

Depends on which era Jim Carrey we are talking about.

In 1996, he was still absolutely hilarious, and his comedic nature potentially could have derailed the serious nature of the role of Milton.

Based on the performance he gave in Dumb and Dumber to, a "2016 Jim Carrey" I would agree absolutely. I feel like meow a days he should focus on serious, dramatic roles as he has proven he can do it just as good as he did comedy in the 90's.

"Meow a days?"

is he playing the meow game in "supertroopers"?

I thought the same thing about Johnny Depp's character in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I thought you were going to say the lead role, because Carrey would have fit better than Fox.

Every time he was onscreen I kept thinking this guy must be Jim Carrey's protege or something. I loved his performance!

plus the dude from ace ventura was in the scene with him
