this movie is an ordeal to sit through

slow paced, underacted, when Vanessa beat the other con-girl in jail, her actions were furious but her expressions, it was a clear show of just a planned actions of story, she did them without showing proper rage expressions... The body language, acting of the Agents was again not to the mark, during end scenes the body language was not alert, clear show of just a planned act by director not prperly executed... Unnecessary long talks, -- a good story , underdone

I didn't like it much myself; it was kinda like if Uwe Boll tried to make a David Lynch or John Waters movie.

I'm a huge Waters fan - but objectively speaking, he's aweful at making movies - a bit like Dylan who cannot sing to save his life, yet his stuff is brilliant anyways. My point being that Bright is generally a lot better at using the medium and cinematography - for what it is, I think this is a brilliant pastiche piece with Witherspoon giving a taste of what was to come from her - albeit, that it took a few rom-coms to get there...

The fact that you did not like it or it is an acquired taste does not really justify comparing Bright to Boll (horribly far fetched) - and what resemblance is there to Lynch at all? The only thing they have in common is Dan Hedaya :)

If you want to lay into Bright, watch his biopic of Ted Bundy - what at trainwreck that was...

I could feel a little Lynchiness. It reminded me a bit of Wild At Heart and the middle stretch of Lost Highway.

Sorry to go off topic but I disagree with you completely. Dylan might not be as polished as say, Joan Baez, but he's a great singer in his own way and he can hold a tune.

Sorry, as well guys. But I have to say that I'm sure it's Dylan's style of singing that makes people think he's a bad singer. Zooey Deschanel plays down her voice too for the sake of the style of song she's singing. Get what I'm saying?

Plus, Jakob Dylan had to have gotten his beautiful voice from somewhere. ;)

movie itself wasn't much but Reese makes it atleast memorable

so many movies, so little time

Witherspoon made this more than watchable. The smaller roles of Murphy and Ubach also stood out, and Sutherland made a reasonable human Big Bad Wolf.

I agree, slow paced and quite an ordeal with all this swearing and violence. The beginning was just awful, so I fast-forwarded to the first Kiefer Sutherland scene, because I haven't watched too many disappointing movies with him. But it just went downhill.
What a waste of time...hard to understand that Sutherland participated in this.
Maybe he needed the money very badly?
Fortunately Kiefer Sutherland made "24" and Reese Witherspoon got much better in the 2010+ years starting with the movie on Johnny Cash.

This was one of the worst movies ever watched together with Oliver Stone's "Natural Born Killers", "Delicatessen" and "The Perfume" (the German film).
Not worth your time. Skip this one.
