song in different version?

First saw the flick when it came out on video here in Australia and i recently bought the American Dvd to save my video copy and there was a different song played in the background when Maddy and Violet get together after the trial and chat with Rita online. The song in Rita's background was the same but the song in Maddy's room was different? Can anyone help me, love the song I had grown accustom to in the video version. Not in the credits.
