Do people think this is True? I love this movie and it should have a sequel. After the money it made at the box office it deserves to have one as well. Why are Paramount so reluctant to talk about this.
seeing as how mid 2006 is passed, i don't think its true unfortunately.

nope, no sequel. Bette said in an interview that the three girls wanted to make one, but the studio said the first one was a fluke, and if they made a second one they wouldn't get paid.
Hollywood is very biased towards women, i'm afraid....when women make a successfull movie, the studio see it only as a fluke.
Personally, a sequel would have been great!!!

no way... a sequel would be a bad idea..why ruin a good thing.? it is very very rare that movie sequels are successful.
I believe the movie is incredible, Bette, Diane and Goldie were the perfect trio for the film and the rest of the cast were amazing.
Lets leave the characters where we last saw them..not knowing where they are now..
Or just see them do another movie together! Those three are great together! Any movie would be good!
sharei agree a sequel would simply ruin the original best to leave things as they are....however if they ever did make a sequel i would go see it.

Ruin the original? Would they collect every known copy of part 1 and burn them in the streets? That's the only way the original could be harmed by an entirely different film, I don't see how a sequel does anything to the original.

I think if they got a really good writer and someone managed to come up with a brilliant story like the first one they could pull it off.
