*Spoilers* would Agent Dash have been let off that easy?

In the scene where Morton is firing Sims and Dash for helping Luke sneak off to the party, Sims says Dash had nothing to do with it, and that “I was his superior officer, and told him to keep his mouth shut”, to which Morton responds, “Fine. You’re still finished”. Now my question is, even with Sims saying he ordered Dash to go along with their plan, would Dash have really gotten of so easily? I would imagine that, even though the Secret Service would train it’s cadets to obey orders from a superior officer, they would still want the agents to be able to think for themselves, and that, even if a subordinate was ordered by a superior officer to do something that seemed to go against their regular orders (i.e. helping the President’s son sneak out of the White House), that the subordinate would be able to think for themselves, and not go along with the plan. I would therefore think that Agent Dash would have been fired along with Sims. Does anybody know if this is how it would really work out?

Taking the responsability for the subordinate's actions and then getting fired is very common in every job.
