Minor plot point involving the "11" on Primo's shoulder

Gil confronts Primo about giving up number 11 to Rayburn, only for Primo to reveal he has "11" branded on his shoulder, evidently because he considers it his lucky number as well.

After Primo is murdered, I recall Rayburn's agent informing him that he isn't a suspect.

This presents a bit of a problem, since the audience later learns Gil cut off the "11" from Primo's flesh. Wouldn't investigators find it incredibly suspicious that whoever murdered Primo also just happened to have cut the "11" from his body? Especially given that Primo and Rayburn had recently gotten into a physical altercation in front of witnesses. It'd suggest that Primo was killed either by Rayburn or on Rayburn's behalf.

IMO this is a decent film even with its weaknesses, just figured if anyone else noticed this particular issue.

i feel like the film just yadda-yadda'd over the actual murder investigation..
and how the f*** was Gil not seen by anyone coming in and out of the sauna?

i admit the 11 in the fridge was pretty funny though.
