Christopher Pike

Does anyone know if Christopher Pike is still publishing books (either as Christopher Pike, Kevin McFadden or under a name I don't know)?

In 2004, he came out with a novel he'd been working on for nine years, entitled The Blind Mirror, and the same year he published two YA Novels.

I had thought that the Alosha series was Young Adult. My mistake.

He is still writting.

Every time I talk to him online he is busy. He's always "working"

If anyone has read Sati(my personal fav) he is coming out with another book that is similar in the fact that it is spiritualy deep. I belive it's called the 7th door or something like that.

He also just put out the second book in the the Alosha trilogy. The Alsoha series isnt really my cup of tea but I read everything by him.

So yea, he's still writting, just not at the pace he was in the early 90's.

Crazn420, "SatI" is also my favorite book!

I think Sati and The Season of Passage were my favorite of his "adult" novels. Does anyone know if a sequel to "The Cold One" is gonna be published? I wasn't terribley impressed by that book, but I'd still like to read the sequel if it comes out. I have yet to start the Alosha Trilogy. I just recently found out about it anyway. I havn't seen anything new come out since Blind Mirror and that was quite awhile ago.

sleep, those little slices of death, how I loathe them.

Christopher Pike is an amazing author. "The Yanti", which is book three in the "Alosha" series, is due out in October.
This movie is a fair representation of the book, but I wish Mr. Pike had had more of a hand in the whole process (I'm sure he does, too).

You know what should be a movie??
CHAIN LETTER
God they were so intense and more liek the thinking person's R.L. stine. I had read I know what you did last summer and thought it wasa rip off, but god was it brutal and excellent. The sequel even more so.
Just my thoughts.

Mr. Pike posts on my forum from time to time, keeping us updated on various projects he's working on. :) He's also on AOL quite a bit.

OH AND CHAINLETTER TRILOGY! That would be even better. I'm kind of mad I Know What You Did Last Summer was made into a movie (even if I thought it was good) because now if Chainletter were ever made into a movie, a lot of people would consider more of a rip-off of IKWYDLS than a better story :[.

Called I know what you did last summer...hahhaha....sameish premis anyway

He is not coming out with a sequal to the cold one someone the ezee board site posted a covo between him and them,(which he dose post on go see if you dont believe, which I didnt at first. I should really go back there.)

I would like Master of Murder to end up a movie...
That would make an amazing thriller.

reply

^^Yeah, i totally agree! It's not like his newer YA material where it involves the supernatural (still very good books) but I think MoM would be an awesome movie.

reply

Yeah, I think this author better get his A in G and get some more books on the shelves. I've read everything he's ever written, and I'm pretty sure I could quote word-for-word my faves, such as Road to Nowhere and Fall Into Darkness. Perhaps he's hard at work on turning some of them into scripts to keep his die-hard fans happy. It's not about quality, Mr Pike, it's about quantity! Your fans need something to whine about!!!
I know I personally expect that 12 years down the track, there HAS to have been some improvement in Made-For-TV movie standards. Not knocking Fall Into Darkness, but it was pretty average, and probably only of interest to Pike/Brandis fans.

When The Blind Mirror comes out starring Michael Weatherly as David, Kimberly Elise as Julie and Amy Adams as Sienna, I will be a happy camper!

Pike's still writing, don't you guys worry ;)

Personally i would love to see the Last Vampire series turned into a movie.

I remember Chain Letter and Chain Letter 2. Those WERE intense books. I also really liked The Midnight Club, the one about the kids living in a hospice.

End Of The Line 8/10
Slashers 4/10
In My Skin 8/10
