Ridiculous

There is no way James Wilder's character wouldn't realize she was the same woman.

It made no sense at all. He knew her as an adult. He's seen her naked, not just her face. He was shown to be a womanizer. Maybe if the story had her start with an accent that she later lost to fit into higher society, it would have been better. At least dye her hair or something. And what about her sister refusing to believe it? Write in at least one character who does immediately recognize her and blows her cover.

The plot point about the scam investment didn't make too much sense either.

And they never resolve the murder they've just committed either. The girl already has experience with the prison system over the death of the shopkeeper and cover-up she didn't do, yet doesn't seem too concerned about either sister ending up in prison. Her boyfriend will just make it all better somehow.

Can someone tell me what happened in the last few minutes of this show after the man fell through the table. I turned my head and missed it.

Emily basically told her sister if the police come to her about the murder, act surprised as if she did not know what happened. In the hotel lobby, Emily saw her boyfriend and they kissed and made up, after their brief falling out earlier.

The last scene was two of them in a car and she was about to reveal a secret about herself (assuming that she is Emily and not Adrian). Before she could say anything, Paul says he knows who she is. The end.

As for the other comments, I was thinking the same thing about Alec. Although she made a dramatic appearance after the surgery, the woman still had the same features and hair so how the hell he could not recognized her? lol They could have made it more believable, at least had Alec tell Emily she looks familiar and if he met her before. I guess the two sisters is not worry much about the murder as they could say it was self defense. But that is something we will never know.

@^^^^ Thanks!

Fleur de lis, hope you get this as it's been a while since the post I'm answering. The antique dealer didn't die. There's a quick line from Emily, something about "if he'd died, I'd be in here for murder" or something like that. I also think Emily made a reference to "he recovered."

reply

Okay. Thanks. I guess I missed that line. It kind of makes it worse that she was so nonchalant about the fact that she and the sister are now responsible for an actual death. Her life was nearly ruined by the first crime.

reply

Yeh, that bothered me too because the eyes never change.

"If u can't hear me, it's because I am speaking in parentheses."

She looked exactly the same minus the scars.. It was ridiculous they had him not tell it was her..

We created the missionary position. ... You're welcome!

I agree, how stupid as if James would not know she was the same women, she had scars fixed not a whole new head and face. Very stupid

reply

That's how it looked but remember the doctor was supposed to have fixed her to look exactly like his wife. So she was supposed to look like an entirely different woman. And if he was really the womanizer he was supposed to be and Emily was just one in a long list of women he took advantage of, he wouldn't necessarily remember too much about her body/voice, etc. So the storyline as it is could work. But I agree they could have done more to make her look different.

Also something we are not considering, for someone who just got out of prison, and especially someone who was wrongly accused, she doesn't seem to leery on the prospects of going back with her crime plans. That didn't make sense. All that facial stuff I agree. Someone would have blown her cover. Changing her name was lame too.

I think that's exactly what I previously pointed out, but in any event, the filmmakers didn't consider it.
