My thoughts on the movie
It was an o.k. film. But way lame to leave the ending open, screaming, "We are hoping for a sequel."
The parents of the murdered college student have a screw loose to not check on their daughter sooner when they could never get her on the phone. Sure they got letters, but for a parent, there is something to be said about intuition and they should have seen red flags when their daughter did not speak to them on the phone.
Lastly, wasn't there a strange vibe between the daughter and father? I am not trying to be tasteless here, but there seemed to be an attraction to her father that transcended normal father/daughter affection.
