I thought this was a very good film, well scripted and directed, and hard to fault the performances. Being picky, I thought maybe the weakest part of the story was when Ainsley lets Jack know she's pregnant, even though she knows he's dead-set on having a baby and she's just learnt about his wife-beating history and she intends to have an abortion. She's not an idiot; really, she'd have kept quiet about being pregnant, wouldn't she? It would have been better, I think, if he'd happened across her test result and then confronted her; then the rest of the story would proceed as it does.
