Hang up your phone and call the cops dumbass

She wasted two minutes staying on the line with her daughter. Doubled police response time.

Most parents - & definitely most mothers -would do what she did - keep her on the line to 'stay with her' and get someone else to call 911.

reply

I guess the OP would just hang up on their daughter who is screaming for her...

reply

I can understand staying on the phone for a minute, but after that and no one else is giving you there phone, she should have clued in and hung up, and called 911. I mean she kept going on and on, without calling, till the point where it got ridiculous.

reply

Wow would you REALLY hang up on your own child who was being attacked and screaming for you and her life?

I agree with the others and what Sally Field's character did and stay on the line and get someone else to dial the police.

I shake my head at the original poster. Let's hope YOUR never in THAT situation.

I don't know why the daughter didn't hang up and call the police or at least tell your daughter too. At the very least the police could if traced the call and maybe even used it as evidence.

You seriously think the daughter was in any shape to call the police??

She was in good enough shape to call her mother. She should of dialed 911 first. Plus I call Bullsh!t on the fact that the Mom couldn't get anyone to let her use another phone to call 911. You tell someone "I need to use your phone to call 911 my daughter has been raped" and they're going to let you use it.

"Common sense is not so common"

You need to watch that scene again. The mother called the daughter and this happened while thy were already on the phone.

reply

The daughter wasn't holding the phone. The phone was laying on the floor away from her, while she was being viciously attacked.

Parts like this make me think of that Liam Neeson movie where his daughter is being taken and she yells out what the guy taking her looks like.

reply

The Liam Neeson movie is called "Taken" and the reason why the daughter had the presence of mind to do that was because her father (an ex spook) told her to. And regarding the original topic, I wouldn't have hung up either.

I don't think more electricity is what this guy really needs. Just throwin' it out there.
