Did the Movie Depict Peron's feelings for Evita accurately

I wanted to know if anyone thought Evita depicted the relationship and feelings between Eva and Peron accurately? I have been researching about them as a couple for years and when i research and I went to Argentina for the most part both the haters and their admirers sort of agree that they were in love as Peron would not have married her in the time were men in Peron's station wouldn't marry their mistress. I also found out in my research when he found she was sick he was devastated and shaken cuz his first wife died of the same or similarly disease. I also read he was more the affection one and wanted Eva to rest more. I have also came out of my research, documentaries , reading etc states when he fially got her body back in the last term, he cried and was happy and said he was happiest with Eva. However in my research I have heard Peron didn't tell Eva she was sick ( although she knew she was not well) and last year this doctor said that Peron gave her electric shock treatment to keeep her quiet so what you think

I don't know which books you have read. I think the best is Nicholas Fraser and Marysa Navarro's "Evita- The Real Life of Eva Peron".

I do believe he loved her. I think he loved her very much. Yes, his first wife died of uterine cancer as well, which is why he was so devastated by the diagnosis. He knew what was in store. She was hardly quiet her last year, though. She probably met with more people, gave more speeches and made more appearances than she should have. I do not think she was told she was dying, or what of, but that was very common in those days. She must have sensed it, though.

I think they loved each other, of course Eva loved his money and power maybe more than she loved him, but there was definitely love between them.
