A little bit confused!Which kids were Goldie Hawn's???

OK,I got that Djuna was "Woody Allen"'s only child.But I didn't get if all the other children were from the previous marriage of Alan Alda's character..

THE WORLD IS YOURS

I think Skylar was the only child that wasn't supposed to be Goldie's. Skylar was the oldest and I think she was from Alan Alda's character's first marriage.

Goldie's character birthed three children - Djuna (with Woody's character) and the two youngest girls with Alan Alda's character.

Alan Alda's character came into the marriage with Skylar (Drew) and Scott.

It is confusing because in the beginning of the film the narrator Djuna refers to Skylar as her "sister" while calling the two younger girls her "step sisters" and Scott her "step brother." This is probably why Ebert also referred to Skyler as Djuna's sister, and not as her step sister.

That used to confuse me too because in the beginning I Djuna refers to Sylar as her sister, and Lane and Laura as her half-sisters.

If Djuna was older than Skyler it would have made more sense, because then Djuna would be from Hawn's first marriage and then all the other kids from her second marriage. Skyler was 21, I thought Djuna was 19-20 so that wouldn't make sense if Skyler was Hawn's daughter (She calls her mom!) from her second marriage (she also called Hawn's current Husband dad) and is older than Hawn's daughter from her first marriage.

So, let's just pretend Djuna is 22-23. And the only kid of Alan's.

In the beginning, Djuna says Skylar is her sister, then she says "dad's a lawyer, I mean I call him dad but actually he's step dad because you see there's original dad, right, who married mom and they had me. And then there's step dad. Well he had 2 kids with his first wife...". Then she mentions Lane and Laura are her half sisters, and Scott is her step brother.

Original dad is Joe (Woody Allen) and step dad is Bob (Alan Alda). Djuna went on summer vacation to Venice with Joe. Joe is definitely her biological father, not Bob.

Skylar always calls Steffi (Goldie Hawn) mom and Steffi refers to her as her daughter.

The only explanation that makes sense (assuming Woody intended to make sense) is that Bob had Skylar and Scott with his first wife, Steffi had Djuna with Joe, and Bob and Steffi had Lane and Laura. Maybe they are very close and Djuna considers Skylar to be her sister, and Steffi considers her to be her daugheter, even though there is no biological connection.

Either that, or the second child Bob had with his first wife is not mentioned, and Skylar is Steffi's biological child and the biological father is not mentioned and Skylar calls Bob dad like Djuna does.

Either way, it's very poor exposition, and it's not hard to make these details clear to set up the story. I think my first explanation makes more sense though.

So why not just assume that Djuna is the oldest? That makes the most sense.

Steffi is the mother of ALL the kids that are in the movie (Except Scott because he doesn't call her mom). Skyler clearly calls Steffi mom, more than once and Steffi calls Skyler "My child"...and Bob obviously is Skyler's dad. ("Look what you're doing to your father."/ "As your father and the head of household (or sth) I command it, I declare it,..." )

So if it was like this, it would make the most sense :

Bob & First wife ----> Scott and X /// Steffi & Joe ----> Djuna
Steffi & Bob ----> -Skyler
-Lane
-Laura
