Miranda Richardson was fantastic!

I loved this movie! I am still looking to buy the DVD. It's so hard to find. Amazon is selling it for $62 and everyone else seems to be out of stock! Anyway, I thought Miranda Richardson (Patsy) was incredible. She played the part so perfectly. Paired with Shirley McLaine, they worked beautifully together! I love the yellow belt scene in the restaurant when Aurora invites the therapist and Patsy to meet her for lunch! What a hoot!

$62?! I bought the DVD a couple of years ago from the $5 bin at an HEB grocery store.

Miranda Richardson is always fantastic. I've never seen her do a bad job. She is so great getting into the part that it's hard to realize it's her until a while into the movie.

LOL!! Yea Miranda had the role spot on. I want a Patsy! HAHA! That scene in the restaurant was quite possibly the best of the movie.

Aurora: "It's so HOT in here...can I have some iced tea please? Thank you..would you like iced tea?"

Patsy: "Uhhh...Bloddy Mary...lot's of Mary."

Yes, Miranda Richardson was brilliant in this film! It was the first time I had ever seen or heard of her. She pulled off the southern American accent so well that I actually thought she was American. I couldn't believe it when I found out that she is English lol. She's such a great actress, I love her.

Miranda Richardson was just fine, but she wasn't playing Patsy. The character she played in this movie bore no relation to the original Patsy. I wish they had changed the name of the character.

I agree. I felt she was miscast.
