Bombed?

Can’t believe this movie bombed.
I remember as A Kid I went to see it with a gay friend who preferred to see a kid’s movie to this. I think it was Sinbad or some crap. We were late so we couldnt pick it, and timed limited which was horseshit, plus it was Rated-R. Always regretted it. I didnt know much about it. I didnt know much about Kurt Russell, but I love the title, the premise, the eye patch, the leather jacket, the rugged, the surfing gimmick, it had John Carpenter who for whatever reason I scooping up all he was taking out, Vampires which was a favourite of mine at the time. Afterwards when L.A was released on tv and I saw it it looked like crap. I was unfortunate though. I wasnt mature enough to understand all the aspects of the movie. I eventually saw Escape from New York, The Thing, and eventually became a Kurt Russell fan. As I grew older I got into politics and now I understood it better. Now that I found out it bombed I feel disappointed I couldnt buy it’s tickets. At the time the 90’s were kicking ass. Great movies like the Crow: City of Angels like this movie were coming out. Tank Girl. I had wished they had more success and shaped our culture more than all this pop gimmick tech crap. Forwhatever reason being tough, masculine, edgy, a rebel has always been frowned upon. What a shame.
