Is it too late for a third film with Kurt Russell returning as Snake?

I think not.

I don't think so. I'm actually surprised they haven't tried to make a third film. Arnold recently made TERMINATOR 5, and apparently Stallone has RAMBO 5 on the way.

I would love to see it. I know escape from LA wasn't as good as new york but I would like to see it anyway. Something original, LA was too much of a remake. We will never see it from Carpenter. Hollywood is done with him and LA didn't make much money. I for one don't want a reboot with anyone else. It would make me puke.

I just saw Kurt Russell in Furious 7 and he's not looking great. Maybe an older Snake would be cool, but I'm not sure if I want to see that. Granted, Russell defined this character, but I was reading about Josh Brolin possibly taking it over and I actually really like that idea. I think he's got that same attitude, he's got the grimace, and he's still young enough to make it work.

I totally think Kurt could pull off a third Escape movie. He may not be up to the more physical tasks, but he certainly has that cowboy mentality down. He was amazing in Bone Tomahawk.

reply

Never.
I think now would be a great time for them to do a sequel, especially since Kurt has been so evident in such great films lately like 'Bone Tomahawk' and 'H8 Eight'.

with a focus on physical fitness - he could at least get back to 70% of Snake's prowess - which at this age, is all he would have to do

His charisma and disdain with that special gleam in his eye is still there, as evident in both Bone Tomahawk and Hateful Eight

It could be done on a $15-20mil budget, be put on the indie/film festival, limited release, followed by quick release on VOD and BluRay, and do exactly what it needs to do - get to $50mil

focus on story, score, with just minimal special effects

Trust me - there is NO WAY Carpenter and Russell don't have at least one last hurrah - it is either here, or Big Trouble in Little China

Carpenter is going back to Halloween, he will go back to a Russel film - I just feel it

One favor though - stay away from Weinsteins and Mirimark

I don’t trust you.

I'd love to see another.

He is not coming back. He has forgotten me.

It's never too late. Kurt Russell will always be perfect for the role.

Coming soon!
Snake suspects those damn nurses are stealing his money and he simply can't tolerate another cold sponge bath, so he hops onto his mobility scooter and makes a desperate dash for freedom.
Will he make it?
Find out in: "Escape from the Nursing Home".
