I noticed that no comedies are on the top 250. I am not saying that this should be one of them although I liked this. I am wondering why comedies are so underappreciated. They are my favorite genre and as entertainment I favor escapism over thought pervoking.

shareComedies in the top 250 include Duck Soup, Annie Hall, Monty Python & the Holy Grailo, Kind Hearts & Coronets, and quite a few others. Still true that great movie comedies are few & far between, as with great comic novels, and unlike TV or stage comedy. Interesting, no?
