This team in real lfe...

You know, most players in the Knicks roster (in the movie) were actually NBA players, but with different names. It occurs to me that this roster in real life could have been one of the worst teams in NBA history. I mean, I think they could have ended with 9-14 wins (they play 82 games), because, well, basically they all were role players in real life (minus Mark Jackson), and most of them were defensive-minded role players.

Only 3 of them were capable of scoring 15 points as an average per game. I think Malik Sealy (Stacy Patton in the movie) should have been the top scorer with about 17 points per game. Then Rick Fox (Terry Hastings) with 15.8 PPG and finally Mark Jackson with 15.1 PPG. The rest of the roster most definitely would have scored under 10 points per game.

In real life, they would have resembled the Knicks from the first half of the movie, only worse. No real scoring threats, their rebounders were average and they had no backup Point Guard and no elite 3 point shooters either.
