Dunston Checks into Retirement Center for ex-Actors!

Dunston, aka Sammy, was retired to the Center for Great Apes in 2004. Not only was he in Dunston Checks In, Sammy also starred in: Planet of the Apes, The Flintstones, and Baywatch. Sadly what happens to great apes (orangutans and chimpanzees) is at the age of seven they become to dangerous to work with. Before going to the center Sammy became a breeder and had a son. He is not the only ex-actor at the center, there are several other orangutans and chimpanzees that worked in tv, movies, and commercials. The website is: www.centerforgreatapes.org. Everyone should check it out because it gives a lot of insight about what happens to these animals when they can no longer work.
