Ha Ha Ha!!! I just so happened to turn on the tv and the fight scene during the opening credits was going on. And being a fan of Mark,I continued to watch and am thoroughly enjoying this flick!!!

Yes, he is truly one of the Greats in Martial Arts. It is really quite annoying that he is rarely used to his full potential in his flicks. Regardless, he is a gem to watch!

I just received my special features Drive DVD and must say that I absolutely love it! The extras are awesome!!! And how cool to see the back-story that explains all the questions I had from the 99 minute disc. Also very interesting to hear how they originally wanted the big blow-up scene at the end to be on the Rocket Ship display itself, with Toby running up the end of the rocket while the front is falling forward (A somewhat homage to Bruce Lee’s “Game of Death”), but once again they ran out of money and had to scramble for a different ending that didn’t quite make much sense (The bad guy suddenly being okay with blowing himself up?!!!) What is really strange, though, is that in one of the Mark Dacascos interviews, they have him dubbed in English by someone else! What in the world??? He is speaking in English, and yet they dubbed him with someone else’s voice in the same language... Color me confused. I guess they must have had a system glitch, taking away the sound at that point, and Mark wasn’t around to re-voice his own interview? Actually kind of funny hearing someone else’s voice coming out of Mark’s mouth. Whoever is speaking, though, does a very good job of matching Mark’s lips word-for-word. One thing I especially loved seeing was that Scorpion kick thing that Mark does in the Deleted Scenes. Wow! I have never seen that before! He really is quite spectacular. Yet another gem that should have never been taken out of the original (Apparently there are quite a bit amazing action shots taken out due to producers butting in with an iron fist). They also confirm that Mark could do all the stunts in the movie, and did most of them, with the few that he didn’t do only being because they were shooting round the clock and while he was sleeping they would sometimes have a double in for him so to not lose on time or money. The interviews also confirm that everyone who saw the movie was shocked at how good and innovated it was and that it was never released on the big screen, agreeing that it was the original “Rush Hour”, and had it been released properly, it would have been the mega blockbuster that it most definitely deserved to be. I thoroughly recommend this special features, 112 minute disc to everyone. (Btw, it is 112 minutes, not 117 as some proclaim.)

It's a great, underrated film. I understand that the director got shafted by the studio. They made the cuts, and when it tested poorly they released it straight to video. Make sure you buy the director's cut - the story makes much more sense.

The script and fight scenes are great. The stunt performances are wonderful and the fight scenes are very East Asian in style (think Hong Kong action).

The two leads work very well together, and personally I think it's much better than Rush Hour for the action, script and leads' chemistry.
