RIP Deliverance Bodine, we will miss you
simple as that
shareTrue that. People can make all the references to "Clueless" they want but "Drive" will always be the movie with her most endearing performance to me.
shareThe late Brittany Murphy was superb in Drive(1995). She was an unknown when it was made. Every action comedy from Rush Hour to Shanghai Noon to the film version of I Spy "borrowed pages" from Drive.
shareI would always remember her from Drive since it was the first film I saw her in. Whenever I saw later films with her in such as "Girl, Interupted", "8 Mile" , "Don't say a word" it would alway be "Oh look, it's that girl from Drive". Her appearence changed quite a bit over the years. She looked very different from her breakthrough role in Clueless. Nevertheless, I quite liked her as an actress and especially her personality.
I was just checking out my Drive DVD Audio commentary (which funny enough I saw again just one day before Brittany died) and at the part Brittany's character appeared onscreen Kadeem Hardison said something like "Brittany isn't with us right now, but she's here in spirit". Eerie, even though all he meant was that she wasn't there for the commentary.
R.I.P Brittany
That is eerie.
I'd never heard of this film before, but checked it out just because of her listing in it. Ended up really enjoying it, and her performance while brief is hilarious, quirky and entertaining.
Brittany is one of the very few actresses I'd love to have met, she always seemed very down to earth and cool. Even seeing her in behind the scenes stuff for King Of The Hill she just seemed so quirky and fun. Plus the fact she was beautiful was a massive bonus too.
It's sad to say but with all the arrogant, can't really act, unfunny actresses out there, why did she have to be the one that died?
Koalas are telepathic. Plus, they control the weather.
When they talk about what roles she had, the first thing I think of is this one. All the others kind of pale in comparison.

Just saw this movie for the first time and Brittany was both adorable and good.
