what if Masaya Katos's character was played by Jet li instead...that would have been awesome!!!!
shareI don't think it would have improved the fight any. Masaya Kato (or his stunt double) did really well. Sticking another actor in there isn't going to make it any more awesome.

I agree with this, Kato is a compotent on-screen martial artist but more to the point, if a 5'6 Jet Li had walked into the bar with that long coat and sun glasses most of us probably would have laughed. He simply isn't the right size to pull off that look.
Jet Li is better at portraying the initially harmless looking badass mofo who can actually pull apart people twice his size.
might have bene released onto cinema though
