I liked Drive more than Rush Hour. It's got poorer production values, even weaker writing and acting, but it delivers far more entertaining martial arts action, which is really what I expect out of this kind of flick. The comedy, when it's there, is actually very funny, but it's mostly present in only two particular sequences, the fight scene where Dacascos and Hardison are tied together and the motel/garage battle.
Drive isn't really a movie that holds up well in repeat viewings, though, as I enjoyed the movie less the second and third time I saw it. Some of the stuff that seemed charming and funny the first time, like Brittany Murphy's performance, only seemed to slow down some of the action when I watched the movie again. The last fight scene between Dacascos and that superhenchman, despite being rather lengthy and featuring a lot of brutal beatings, is a bit of a letdown compared to some of the more innovative fights earlier on.
