I love this movie. I am an Insomniac and I found this movie one night at 3 in the morning on tv. I always remembered it and then one day I found it at wal-mart for only 5.88. I could not have been more excited. This movie is so charming that you can't not like it.

I found the movie unbearable due to Ione Skye's performance. I wanted to like it, I really did. I loved Michael Landes as Roberto but even that could not make me sit through any more Ione "If I show all my teeth when I smile it almost seems like I'm acting" Skye and had to abandon the movie right after David's girlfriend showed up and Frankie and David went for a walk on the beach.

Of course, it was partly Ione Skye and partly the fact that I couldn't warm up to Frankie's drama-queen character; the beach scene did me in--who can actually see themselves asking their crush, whom they've just discovered has a partner, about the quality of their lovemaking? Sheesh.

Couldn't agree more! Skye was horrible in this, and her teeth actually grossed me out. I thought I remember her being in other movies and being attractive & a semi decent actress? Or maybe its because I was only like 14 when those movies came out. Anyways, the movie as a whole was just ridiculously awful in my (blue) eyes! But I did suffer through the whole thing (what a mistake!)I actually almost turned it off at the same point that you did, thats when it really sealed the deal for me on how bad it was; and it really annoyed me how rude everyone was to Molly Monday; she seemed like a decent person who didn't deserve to be...well...pooped on.

i thought the overly big smile was actually very well used. she didnt do it throughout the whole film, only when talking to or about david. think about it, dont you get a big goofy-ass grin on your face in th beginning stages of extreme infatuation?

frankie is supposed to be brutally honest and without too much of a filter. and although she is very over-the-top in the dramatic behavior, i like that at least no one else acts like thats normal behavior. they at least make fun of her antics, which then makes them funny cuz rob and ally say what i want to say.

and while they may have been a bit rude with molly, i think they were in shock and pissed for frankie's sake, and wanting DAVID to feel uncomfortable and awkward as hell. molly didnt really know them and know what all the comments and whatnot meant, but david did, and i think he was the target.
