is it meant to be taken as a comedy?
Because viewed as a comedy, it's total crap. But I didn't laugh so much except in the scenes with Az.
It sort of left me with a weird feeling afterwards, and I think maybe it's not supposed to be funny, it's more supposed to be a pseudo-philosophical/symbolic film. I agree it was disjointed, but it's more like somebody trying to imitate Samuel Beckett or something like that. If I had to impose a symbolic meaning onto it it would probably be about subjective reality and modern society as opposed to primordial roots. When Jason Lee starts putting dirt all over himself I got weirdly reminded of Willard in Apocalypse Now.
So...what do you think? Does it mean anything?
"I'm waiting for the sun to shine."
