Best part of the DVD is the commentary
The flick is ok and its cool to see a lot of characters from the view askewniverse appear in the film but I think the best part of owning Drawing Flies is the commentary that had a lot of the actors and Kev Smith gathered together doin the commentary. The flick is ok, but it gets a little boring at times (and weird, & Im a David Lynch fan saying this lol). The film also kind of lacks a basic plot, but thats ok because its kind of freeform in a way (kind of like Slacker, but not quite as good) in that they flow aimlessly from location to location not knowing whats going to happen next.
Anyways if any of you havent seen this, or dont own the DVD I suggest to pick it up (but only if you're a hardcore Kevin Smith/ View Askewniverse fan) but definately keep in mind that this is not a Kevin Smith film its a Malcolm Ingram film so it doesnt have as much crazy monologues and potty mouths.
I give it a 6.5 out of 10. And reccomend it mostly because of the funny commentary and the fact that its fairly cheap ( i got it on ebay for about 11 bucks, and thats with shipping included).
