Did ANYONE else freakin cry at the end of this movie??

I'm just curious, did anyone actually cry at the end of this movie? I know that i certainly did. I just want to know if anyone else felt that the ending was certainly somewhat pleasing, but more like a bittersweet. I want to hear what people have to say.

totally! i always get choked up i think its the music that helps though

reply

Yeah, I would agree it's the music. For most movies that's really what will get you. Another movie that does that to me is the end of Philadelphia, because of Neil Young's song.

reply

Every time. In fact, I just posted a message much like this on my LJ.

"Hi, my name's Michael."
"Can you spell that for me?"
"Sure! U-L-I-C-K."
"...O.o..."

Yep, I watched it for the first time three years ago, when I was almost 18, and I couldn't stop crying. However, I watched it again today and thit time it wasn't able to make me cry (maybe because I didn't watch the whole thing), but it's still beautiful and very touching anyway.

I was 5 when it came out in the theatres and I didn't follow through completely, so I didn't cry. But when I was 9 in 2000, I cried.

Yeah, I cried at the end the first time saw it. But I was about 7 at the time.

P.S.

Though I did cry, I did not "Freakin Cry".....

I was 7 and I cried so much, that poor dragon died because of that stupid prince.

Didn't you ever see The Green Mile or Field of Dreams? Even Terminator 2 got me a little choked up at the end.

I must be dead inside because I thought this was a comedy

In case you did not know

I felt something at the end, but mainly because the music stroke a bit of similarity with Free Willy.

I cried during Green Mile too. And then I laughed after seeing the parody on the Simpsons.

I saw this opening weekend. I was 18 & this is only the 2nd movie I've cried at. For me, it was how much Bowen hated dragons, but Draco has to beg & plead for death. Sean Connery & Dennis Quaid did such a wonderful job in this movie, especially this scene.

I do. Worth my tears just like Terminator 2.

Just think...what would Jesus say?

reply

Every time I watched it, and I watched it a lot. I haven't seen it in years but yesterday I heard the theme and burst into tears again...

To the stars Bowen, to the stars. *sniffle*

Oh You had to go and say that last little bit at the end!!!! I got all emotional just reading that. I cry every time I watch this movie (yeah, I know lame, but I don't care.) I was about 5 when it came out and it has been my favorite dragon movie ever since. There have been some good ones, but personally, nothing beats Dragonheart for me.
