Jonathan Penner from "Survivor: Cook Islands" as Spots?

Yup. it just took me a bit of Survivor watching to remember where I recognized him from. Odd they made nothing of it, when it was all they talked about with the NFL guy from the earlier season.

My guess is that they avoided bringing that up because reality series are always accused (and often rightfully so) of being scripted, so if it came out that they were getting actors in the Survivor games then it would be harder to argue against that.

I do believe they brought it up when he returned though for another season, I looked at one of his pics and it's titled 'not the only actor on the island'.

Yeah, I saw it in the 90's and didn't notice it then of course as Survivor was not on yet... but rewatching it today I was surprised to see him in it. He did well and has done alot of acting I see in his credits.
