Freaky shot of Twin Towers 911 prelude?

Did anyone notice the eery similarities of daylight and 911 which would happen only a few years later?

At the end of the film, they also show a shot of the twin towers in NYC as if to prelude to the coming event.

Yeah, the part where the plane crahed into the tunnel was spookily similar.

I know what you mean about the shot of the towers, it's almost as if the director knew something was going to happen in 01.

reply

Also featured prominently in Men In Black (1997).

I like the opening shot with the Dump Trucks entering the tunnel and the shot of the Towers in the background. It was shot on location and NOT green screen / special fx, so it's even more nostalgic.

reply

It's not a prelude to anything, the towers are featured in just about every movie based in New York. They are an icon. This movie was shot 5 years before the 9-11 attacks people.

my favorite has to be Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995). Sam Jackson and Bruce Willis running down New York with the Towers in the background.

Yeah, soooo freaky! Also, did you notice that in Citizen Kane, Orson Welles dies? It's like he knew he was gonna die or something! FREAKY, MAN!

Ya I know right? Totally creepy. Like how in 'Man in the Iron Mask' how its set in France and the Nazis invaded France in WWII... I mean talk about foreshadowing!

I saw a movie once. Then, the very next week, ANOTHER movie came out! I was like, wow! Who could've thought such a thing would happen again so quickly?!

reply

Almost every movie and TV show that takes place in NY prior to 2001 show a skyline shot of the towers. So what? This is a disaster film, not a terrorist attack.
