This movie scarred me for life...

Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome movie, but I watched it when I was a kid and now I remember it every single time I go through a tunnel. O___o

Maybe that shows how effective it was, and even back then I liked it a lot, but now just remembering what the music sounds like, gives me the creeps.

Has anyone felt this way when they go through tunnels now?

Me too!
We got this big long tunnel here in Melbourne (Australia) known as The Burnley Tunnel that has a pretty long slope down under the ground and goes for quite a while. It's become quite notorious already due to a number of crashes, pile-ups and even a huge fire (a truck blew up lol).

I always just wanna get the hell out of there as soon as I can!

"Jaws" did the same thing to me. I don't go in the ocean past my knees anymore.

Same for me. 2 films left a trauma in me and other kids my age - Jaws and IT. So now, the ocean really scares me, I can swim in a 10 feet pool but out in the Ocean, if it's 5 feet, I get very nervous. The other film IT has made me scared of clowns, they look very creepy to me.

I feel for you people. Mine is, Its Alive from 1974. I can't even look at an infant without breaking into sweats.

Jaws got me thinking of sharks attacking me even when swimming in an indoor pool!

I think this is one underrated great action movie from the 90s. So many in every decade get looked over and this one is a lot of fun. It came out when I was 22 so it of course didn't scar me for life but when I showed it to my daughter she says it makes her hands all sweaty from being so nervous. Jaws didn't scare me but knowing all the things that can eat you in the ocean I say no thanks to swimming in the ocean. A swimming pool is just fine. Lol

The only movie that ever scarred me for life was The Exorcist. I'll never watch that movie again, too evil. I could feel an evil presence in the room when I watched it in like 1988 or 89. Yeah no thanks.

I too think about this movie every time I drive through the Holland tunnel!

I feel nervous every time I go to a mall. Too many bad memories of working Christmas season at the Mall of America.

It was brutal.
