1st game against the Bears

Is one of the most ridiculous parts to this movie. So, here's a team that won a junior world competition, scores 9 goals in 1st period without giving up any goals, and then all of a sudden in 2 periods, they manage to give up 9 goals without scoring any more themselves? Did they just refuse to even try to go on offense? Clearly the ducks had some talent level and some notion of defense that they could have gone back on the attack and scored 1 or 2 more goals. Something tells me that the Bears coach didn't make that good of an adjustment to completely shut down the ducks and learn how to beat them all of a sudden.
