Great film. Anyone agree?
I once praised this movie, only to be told to my face I must be easily impressed. What the hell? I think this film was terrifying and did the work justice. I wish they would do an adaptation of Goodman Brown.

shareIt's an excellent film, and it was a terrifying film. The ideals and thoughts of those times are almost morbid to me. They were truly narrow-minded beyond imagination. There's a hundred things you or I could do that would get us accused of witchcraft in those days. I'm really glad I didn't live then.
shareEverybody's entitled to their opinions, but not all of them are worth any salt. ;-) This was a fantastic movie!
sharei would even dare to say its one of my all time favorites.this is excellence to my likings, its a pity lots of people could not enjoy it to this extend, but then i also dont give a crap
shareDitto.

I actually cried!
Stories of Injustice affect me that way.

It was okay. I prefer my movies about witch trials more in the horror vein, though, so Mark of the Devil is more my cup of tea. This movie was still good, though.
shareI adored the play in high school(1990), and really liked the film when I saw it. To me, it works on the basis that Proctor is a good, but flawed man. The story is about a man and his wife. The Witch Trials are just the backdrop.
In my opinion this film is a masterpiece and quite underrated to be honest. I don't understand the hate it gets here on imdb forums.
