can anyone help me think of this movie???

i am trying to find i the title to a movie i saw on TV around 1998. it seemed to have a similar style as a film such as the prophecy or the crow, but i have seen both of those and neither of them is it. what i can remember from it is this. it started out with a guy riding a motorcycle on a long curvy highway, in a hilly desolate and dry region. he eventually crashes it and there is a crow sitting up on a telephone wire which the camera zooms in on (the crow seems to have a significance to the movie). then all i remember is at one point in the film a woman is fighting a man in a storage room/warehouse of some type. as she is about to stab him with these retractable wrist blade things, she looks down at them an realizes they have been turned into bananas. when she looks up next, the mans face has turned monstrous and grotesque. someone might get thrown through a window at some point as well. i believe i was watching in on CBS in 1998. it could have been a film, made for tv movie, or possibly a show. but im pretty sure it was a movie. its a long shot but just seeing if anyone might by chance recognize the film im trying to think of.
